This is the 361st episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast and this installment is our post-game show for Game 3 of the NLCS.
Things did not end positively for us Cubs fans. We can’t help but talk about the negatives and we try as hard as we can to find some silver linings.

On this, the 360th episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast, we recap the first two games of the 2015 NLCS.
The Cubs drop the first two games in New York to the Mets. We talk about the pitching performances by Lester and Arrieta and the disappearance of runs from the Cubs offense.

The Cubs defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS and on this episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast, we mainly talk about Game 4. Andy and Corey were in Wrigley for the clinching game and on this episode, we share our experience.

This episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast was recorded immediately after the Cubs 8-6 win. Holy homers! Fowler, Soler, Bryant, Rizzo, Castro and Schwarber all homered. Jake Arrieta did not look like the Arrieta we are used to seeing, but the Cubs managed to hold on. We also look ahead to Game 4.

On this episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast, we recap the first two Cubs/Cardinals games in the 2015 NLDS. Game 1 didn’t go as planned and we share our thoughts on why the Cardinals were able to take a game from Jon Lester.
The three of us were able to attend Game #2 in St. Louis on Saturday. The majority of the episode is our experiences and takes on what we saw. We have some personal stories from our interactions with “the best fans in baseball”.
We look ahead to Game #3 and look at the pitching match-ups. We will record a live post-game show after Game #3. You can watch it on Blab right after the game. If you’re not on Blab, go toIvyEnvy.com/live and click on the link.

The Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0 in the 2015 NL Wild Card game and this recording is from our live post-game show.
If this is the first time you’ve listened to our podcast, this is a little different than our usual episodes. So bear with us and our excitement.
Tue, 6 October 2015
Here we are, Cubs fans. For the first time in our 7 years and 354 episodes of podcasting on the Chicago Cubs, we have a post-season game to talk about.
We dissect this Cubs/Pirates Wild Card game and look at the teams’ offenses and how the starting pitchers have fared against the opposing teams so far this season. We make our predictions and play the predictions that listeners called in.
Before we do that though, we bring on Katie Day, the creator of what many Cubs fans consider to the anthem of this Cubs team’s playoff push, “By the Lakeside”.
Mon, 5 October 2015
Like most Cubs fans, I expect to be paying a lot more attention to the MLB playoffs in 2015 and to get up to speed with the American League teams, I brought on Scott and Andrew from The Bronx Pinstripes Show.
Scott and Andrew talk about this Yankees season and discuss why this Yankees season has flown under the radar than most Yankees teams. They also look at the other teams in the AL playoffs: Astros, Royals, Blue Jays and Rangers.
Sun, 4 October 2015
Welcome to the 352nd episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast, which happens to be the last episode of the 2015 regular season. Unlike every other “last episode of the regular season” in the history of this podcast, this is not our last episode of the season.
On this episode, we wrap up the regular season. We talk about some of the big picture reasons we saw this Cubs team win 97 games. We don’t get too into Wednesday’s Wild Card game in Pittsburgh because we will be doing an episode on that game Tuesday night.
We answer several listener questions, we have a few Scary Stats of the Week and we can’t go without Internet Muscle Flexes right now.
Thu, 1 October 2015
This is the 351st episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast. On this episode, we share some post-season plans and resist talking too much about the post-season. We’ll have plenty of opportunities to talk about that. List to the podcast to hear about those opportunities.
We begin wrapping up the 2015 season and briefly talk about the 3-game domination over the Reds that the Cubs just wrapped up. We talk curses, Bartman, player nicknames, definitions of success and how many world series championships we want in a row.
