This episode was recorded moments after the Cubs beat the Dodgers 10-2 in Game 4 of the 2016 NLCS. The mood of this episode is quite a bit different compared to the tone of last night’s post-game show. We celebrate the Cubs’ offense coming to life, including spectacular offensive performances by Anthony Rizzo and Addison Russell.

We preview Game 5 and we will be doing another live post-game show right after that game on Thursday.

Well, this was not an easy episode to do. For the second game in a row, the Cubs had their offense shut down by Dodgers pitching, this time it was former-Cub, Rich Hill.

This episode is what you would expect from a Cubs podcast recorded moments after a playoff loss. There’s anger, frustration, and maybe just a little optimism. Consider this a group therapy session.

In this bonus episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast, you will hear a discussion I had with Ed Baum. Ed is the Cubs fan that caught Jake Arrieta’s home run ball in Game 3 of the NLDS in San Francisco. A life-long Cubs fan with a lot of experience shagging homers in the bleachers, Ed describes the play and everything that has happened the ball landed in his mitt.
