Ivy Envy - Chicago Cubs Fan Podcast (UNOFFICIAL)

Welcome to the 385th episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast. Opening Day is just a week away and we start wrapping up Spring Training 2016 on this episode. We are back from our trip to Mesa and we share some of our thoughts on what we saw out there. We talk about the roster situation and the options the Cubs have for the last spot on the 25-man roster.

Jake Arrieta’s opening day start looked up-in-the-air a few days ago when he looked poor in a start vs. the Giants and then reportedly left with a thumb blister. Supposedly, Arrieta and his thumb are fine after a bullpen side session and he’s on track to take the mound next Monday night vs. the Angels in Anaheim to start the 2016 season.

We've got something different for you this week. We are currently in Arizona for Cubs Spring Training.

On this episode, we invite Danny Rockett and Michael from Colorado to sit in on this episode with us. These two are hosts of The Son Ranto Show, a fine Cubs podcast.

We're also joined mid-episode by podcast listener, Kris Bonner and his friend, Kyle (who happens to be a Dodgers fan).

We open up and taste a vintage 2012 Cubs wine, talk about the Spring Training experience, share a few stories and talk about our 2016 Cubs expectations.

Andy brings a few Rube Waddell stories and Corey shares some Internet Muscle Flexes.

Welcome to the 383rd episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast. On this episode, we talk about our upcoming Spring Training trip, discuss the Cubs’ first roster cuts, go over the health status of the team and talk about some individual Spring Training performances.

We award an “Asshat of the Week” and read some internet muscle flexes. AT 5:30pm Central on Friday, we will be doing a live Blab broadcast from the road to Spring Training. We want your questions for this…Cubs, non-Cubs, baseball, non-baseball, questions for our wives, questions for our kids…anything goes. Submit them on our Twitter, Facebook or email them to corey@ivyenvy.com

You can find that live Blab broadcast by clicking this link.

Welcome to the 382nd episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast. For the first time since October, we have baseball games to talk about! However, these are Spring Training games, so there’s not a ton to talk about. We do share a few thoughts on what we’ve seen with the Cubs in the first four games of Spring Training. We also talk about a few things to pay attention to in the next week of Spring Training.

We answer several listener questions, share a Scary Stat of the Week, Andy provides us with a Rube Waddell story and we have a few internet muscle flexes.
