On this episode of The Ivy Envy Podcast, we talk about the last week in Cubs baseball. We co-hosted John Baker Day this last weekend. We talk about that event and share some of the stories the Baker told the attendees. It is fitting that in the week of John Baker Day, the Cubs signed a new back-up catcher. We talk about the latest news, preview the Reds series and share some internet muscle flexes. |

On Saturday, July 29th, the Cubs community lost someone special to a lot of us. John Arguello from Cubs Den passed away. John came on the podcast several times to talk about Cubs prospects. His most recent appearance was on June 7th. Because a lot of the information is still relevant, I’d like to replay that conversation. As I said on our last episode, John was insightful. Whether it was on the podcast or at the backfields in Mesa, I loved talking with John and hearing someone with a real baseball scout skillset talk about the game. Like thousands of other Cubs fans, I will miss John and here’s my last conversation with him. |
